Have you ever been moved by an image on a website, or identified with the action going on in a picture on a brochure? Well this is the work of graphic and web designers, and for those looking to use visual communications as an avenue to create impactful design methods and conceptual techniques, ICDC College is proud to feature a Certificate in Computer Graphics/Web Design and a Fast-Track Diploma in Graphics/Web Development.

The programs are designed to prepare students to become entry-level graphic designers and web developers. They will learn various layout and composition techniques for building compelling visual presentations through print and electronic media in a variety of business settings, including:

  • Advertisement agencies
  • Art and publicity departments
  • Television and film studios
  • Graphic design and web development organizations
  • Freelance opportunities

Students will graduate with a comprehensive foundation in design methods, knowledge of conceptual techniques that create effective visual communications, design logos, and stationery. Additionally, they will learn to create web pages that contain graphics and text, as well as creating and editing hypertext and other web programming languages. Students also learn to produce newsletters, brochures, logos, outdoor advertisements, and websites utilizing Microsoft Office®, Illustrator®, Photoshop®, Flash®, Dreamweaver®, QuarkXPressTM, and JavaScript®.

Both programs are offered at the Main Campus in Huntington Park. The Certificate program is designed to be completed in six months, while the Fast-Track Diploma program paces students to graduate in nine months.
