To assist dentists with fighting cavities, ICDC College offers students the chance to earn a Dental Laboratory Technician Fast-Track Diploma in as little as 36 weeks.

In this program, students will learn to:

  • Create full dentures for patients who are missing all of their teeth
  • Remove partial dentures or fixed bridges for those missing only one or a few teeth
  • Make dental crowns to restore teeth to their original size and shape
  • Design veneers to improve the appearance of discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned teeth
  • Produce orthodontic appliances and splints to help straighten and protect teeth

Students will develop a working knowledge in such areas as: the role of the Dental Laboratory Technician, professionalism, ethics and legal responsibilities, safety and the general dental laboratory environment, interpersonal communications, anatomy, physiology, psychology, medical/dental terminology, and basic computer skills.

After graduating, students will be qualified for entry-level roles as:

  • Dental Laboratory Technicians and Apprentices
  • Dental Ceramists
  • Denture Finishers and Model Makers
  • Dental Laboratory Manager
  • Dental Floss Packer
  • Denture Waxer and/or Packer
  • Supervisor Dental Laboratory
  • Molding and Casting Workers
  • Medical Appliance Technician
  • and other career related Dental field-related job titles!
